BRIEF: This project worked as an introduction to information graphics and was created to fit in the centre of my previously designed newspaper as a double page spread. The goal was for it to work as a standalone poster that could be removed from the tabloid, and we had the creative freedom to choose the topic as well as style.

DEVELOPMENT: As the newspaper is geared towards designers and those with an interest in Graphic Design, so too is the information graphic. The content of the poster explains what Corporate ID is, how to make one and some statistics and facts to back up why a Corporate ID is an important factor in the success of a business, company or product. It does this by using the metaphor of a good cup of coffee and as it says on the poster…

You can get a good cup of coffee, and a bad cup of coffee, but it all depends on the quality of the ingredients and the knowledge of the person that makes it. The same can be said for corporate ID.

FINAL: The bulk of this design was created using Adobe Illustrator and using layers was essential due to the amount of content on the page. I broke the design down into sections and worked though each one in a organised manner. After all elements were in place I made tweaks to the layout and colour palette to achieve the effect I desired.
